Collective Bargaining Success
Our Union made great strides during the contract negotiation process in the last year for the contractual period of 2022-2025. The GEOC was able to achieve many of its goals thanks to the collective support from all its members. Below is a few of our successes from bargaining, and a more comprehensive list can be found on the GEOC resources page.
Salary increases over three years, with the ending equivalent to $24,000
Reduced Pay Gap
Reduced pay gap between discipline tiers without lowering the pay of any tier.
Increased pay parental leave from 6 weeks to 8 weeks, and 7 days paid leave in case of pregnancy loss.
